I have ived in Eltham for 8 yrs and before that Shooters Hill and Stone (Kent). This is the very best Indian we have eaten. There is always plenty of meat in every dish ans the standard of flavour ...amazing!!!!

I can assure you I know my indian food. Ababil provides excellent choice & value for money. That's why my family have been going there for 20 years. Never had a bad meal.

The guys at Ababil know I have been a customer for over 20 years,i have tried many different takeaways and restaurants over the years and none compare to Ababil,the meat is always quality,I would never eat there for twenty years otherwise try it for yourselves...the fact Ababil have been in buisness for so long is a testimony in itself.

I cannot agree with the previous review for this venue, in fact our experience of the food was not very good. We ordered as main dishes, Garlic chilli chicken & Chicken Vindaloo. For a start, the Vindaloo wasn't spicy, and the quality of meat in both dishes was below standard, and the Garlic Chilli Chicken appeared to have been boiled beyond all recognition, also we actually like our naan bread cooked.... We would've done better making it ourselves, especially when you see the prices they charge, it was exactly like throwing money away, as we ended up putting it in the bin. To summarise, it is by far the worst Indian meal we have had & well over priced. I would advise anyone considering buying a meal to try Sabaj, in Westmount Road, or if your willing to travel for a good meal then the Royal Tandoori, which is on London Road in Stone/Dartford is by far the best Indian food we have ever had.

The best takeaway in the whole region. Lived in Eltham for 7 years - tried out all the Indian restaurants in SE9 - this is far the best curries I have eaten.
