I've recently dined at this beautiful restaurant and thought the food was sublime and service was superb. Belair House is a magnificient building set in lush green parkland. The restaurant is under new management and you can really notice the positive difference. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a classy ambience to the place. As well as the food the restaurant is offering nights of live jazz and cabaret. I'll definately be dining there again!!

I attach a copy of an e-mail I sent to the management of this restaurant which I went to for a valentines night meal after hearing very good things about them. Please keep in mind that this was a set meal.
Dear Sir/Madam,
My partner and I dined at your restaurant last night on Valentines Day.
Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a special night was ruined by poor service and continuous delays. We arrived for our booking at 9.30pm on time but were not seated until 10.05, our first course arrived at 10.50 and with subsequent delays, we did not leave your restaurant until 12.50. When we pointed out to the waiter that people who had arrived after us had finished their main courses and now on deserts while we were still waiting for ours we were told that there was food coming out of the kitchen and we would be next but no apology. By the time an apology and complimentary drinks were offered (which we refused), we had been waiting over 30 minutes and simply wanted to finish our meal so we could leave.
The quality of the food was excellent and the only redeeming feature of the night but considering we spent over £90 per person we feel that the level of service received was unacceptable.
Regards Sam Mwaura
