The restaurant was within walking distance of our hotel. We bypassed it for the majority of our trip because it looked small and old. On our last night we stopped in - a Saturday and it was packed. We got the last table. What a fabulous restaurant. The food is to die for, the service great and friendly. I still dream about the lamb dish. If I ever go back to London I'm heading straight for this restaurant and will have dinner there every night. Wished we had known beforehand!

We are from France and we were very happy with this greek restaurant... For us that was the best meal in London... thank you Cristos and specially Madame Cloe.

I come from Greece and for the first time I went to a Greek restaurant in London. My father has been in the catering business since a child and we have all been in the restaurant business. To start with the starters were disgusting. The octopus was out of a tin so was the taramosalata and the kalamari was like rubber. The mains were even worst and for the money we paid we are really disappointed. After finishing our meals they asked us 3 times if we want coffee and on our way out did not even say thank you or goodbye.

Halepi's is the ONLY restaurant in the world worth FLYING to, just to eat. I have acquainted Halepi's for 23 years in my travels to Kenya Africa for missions work. EVERY team member I have taken has NEVER been disappointed and when I stay in London, I NEVER eat ONE DINNER at any other place. IT IS GREAT, Thanks Christano and Kostos.

A small group of friends and I went to the Halepi restaurant to get back into the magic that we experienced whilst in Greece. This restaurant was superb, the food was lovely and the service was fantastic the setting was very intimate and cosy and the atmosphere was 10/10. I would definitely recommend this place as a must while in London.

Visited this restaurant twice in July, 2003. Looking forward to a return trip in August, 2005. We were a party of six staying at a hotel close by and just happened to see this restaurant. It was the best meal we had in London and went back for a second night. Planning to make reservations from USA before we leave.

This is absolutely one of the best restaurants I've ever been to, if not the best! Truly authentic, and truly greek. The steaks are exquisite and the seafood is delicious. Not just the best food, but the service and atmosphere were warm-hearted and cozy. Sure it's a bit small but it just adds to the atmosphere. I've been there 3 times and the owner was there twice. He came by the table several times to make sure everything was ok. He even searved us part of our meal! The price is on the high side but you definately get what you pay for. A MUST if you are in London.

Halepi was an absolute disappointment. Don't bother to go there. There are thousands of places in London. Why bother and go to a bad one?

The owner brought us the bill without us having asked for it, 1:30 hours after we got there. It seems some guys were waiting for our table, which we had booked in advance. Nothing had been mentioned at the time of booking for time limitations. If they had done so, we'd have turned them down.

The owner asked us to leave. It was absolutely offensive. We had invited friends for dinner and we felt absolutely disgraced.

They simply don't value their customers. It was our last time there. We really hope you will avoid this place. They deserve a lesson.

Always have fun here. Nice food, nice people, great atmosphere. Order a wide selection of food is my recommendation.

I discovered Halepi during my third trip to London. Conveniently located in the Bayswater area, it was an easy walk from the Queensway Tube Stop. We did not have a reservation, it was Saturday night and the restaurant was packed - nevertheless, they found us a nice table and we had the best meal of our entire trip. The Mousakka and the Lamb Kebab were mouth-watering. The Houmus and the Tabouli were so good, we came back 2 nights later and just had appetizers for dinner! Really friendly and fast service.

Every time we are in London we have Dinner at the Halepi. We met Chris de Burgh there who gave us an autograph. We never forget this. In April 2004 we are going to visit London again - and one evening is reserved for the HALEPI.

Spent our wedding anniversary in London and seeing that our reception had been in a Greek Restaurant, it seemed a good idea to carry on with the tradition. We walked passed Halepi's and took a chance....what a welcome, though well patronized, we were found a table. Food was outstanding, an excellent range of beer and wine including KEO and Retsina....no rush to finish, just superb service as and when we wanted it....will most definitely be back.

I lived in England, for three years, as a young boy, simply the best greek food I have ever had. The sausages have the best flavor and the lamb is to die for. I have not been back for 30 years but from what I hear it is still the best.

Visited Halepi on a Thursdag evening - more or less "by accident" (recommended by the concierge at the hotel we were statying). Party of 6 persons received a warm welcome, even if the small restaurant was very(!) busy. Excellent service, terrific food at a nice price. We will come again!!!
