A reception area full of colour and charisma greets the customer as he/she enjoys a drink while pondering over the menu. Elephants, spectacularly carved from traditional Indian wood, guard the entrance to the eating area. With the permission of the elephants granted, you are taken to your seat by extremely polite and well presented waiters and the ambience of the L-shaped main room fulfills both the music lover and the curry adorer. The Grand Piano is engulfed in a wrath of exotic smells. Your taste buds will saturate, and your lust for that first bite grows ever stronger.
The food is, as we geordies say, "Top Notch", with chicken breasts presented as a whole rather than in pieces. With a range of food cooked fresh and the combination of years of tadition, his truly is, the taste of India.
Make the '"Last" Days of the Raj' your "First" choice.

Rather pleasant and relaxing music at the grand piano seems to be well received Thursday and Friday evenings.

The indian food is very pricy for little food, but all the same it is quite tasty and i would recommend a meal in the restaurant or you can choose for a takeaway.
