We visited for my birthday celebration. The food was absolutely amazing, however the waitress who I think was mentioned above, appeared to feel she knew more than her customers and really upset two members of our party with her direct and rude manner, infact my husband felt obliged to mention it to her, and must say the service then improved dramatically, but a visit is well worth it for the food, and you could always have a word as my hubbie did!!!

I have been to Mulligans a few times before and have really enjoyed it. But after a few years, going back there the other night I was very disappointed. For starters, walking into the place it gave a chippy look to it. Really bad. Then starting our meal, the olives was so sour, I could hardly swallow it. We had no butter with the bread, and when another table asked for it, the lady serving took it from someone else's table, and this while they were eating. Then the main meal arrived. I had mash potatoes, with my fish and if you put your spoon in to serve, you could pick up the whole container it was so sticky. The other potatoes dish was over cooked and really not tasty. The best part of the whole dinner was the bottle of wine we had. We will most definitely not be making our way back there soon.

We have been Mulligans customers for many years and have never been disappointed. Today I had the duck and my wife had the cod which she said was mouth-wateringly tasty and most definately fresh. My duck was incredibly succulent and the sauce divine. Our son, who is 4 years old is a fussy eater- the waitress spoke to the chef and with no hesitation or fuss he russled up sausage, chips and beans! We were all happy and look forward to our next visit very soon

We both had Cod, Chips & mushy peas. The chips were perfect and plentiful. The cod tasted of nothing, it was wet inside and the batter was very greasy - it tasted like frozen fish. Both our portions of cod matched exactly both in size, batter coating etc. I have never come across this uniformity in battered cod portions before. I called the waitress (although she seemd to be in charge of the place) and asked her if the fish was frozen or fresh. She replied fresh. The mushy peas were bright green and quite obviously from a tin. I would have expected better. However, the pudding was fantastic. Our waiter was delightful and we left him a tip as the quality of food was not his fault.

Consistently good fish. Appalling service - the worst ever! I don't blame the waitress as much as the management that obviously have not trained her. Perhaps I've been lucky in that I've never been subjected to council house Basil Fawlty service before or made to feel so unwelcome anywhere!

It was our first time at a fish restaurant. Great advice from staff about the seafood, for the uninitiated. Excellent quality, great service. Well worth a visit.
