I'm suprised by the negative comments I have heard about this fantastic restaurant. I dined on Friday for lunch, and had a fantasic table with a helpful and professional Australian waitress, a lovely cold bottle of white wine and an extremely tasty 3 course meal. I hadn't dined at the Oxo Tower before, and didn't know what to expect - I was pleasantly suprised to find a modern, tasty food establishment that had an easy-going, relaxed attitude to quality dining (not too stuffy!). Thank you for a wonderful lunch.

Agree with all the others. Overhyped, overpriced, noisy, poor service. Mediocre food. On one of the hottest nights of the year the beer was lukewarm and one of the starters was''off''

Great view but why not go to the Tate Modern and get an even better and cheaper one, and eat somewhere else.

Going to the Oxo Tower felt like icing on the cake for my partner and I as it was our engagement ceremony that day and it all went perfectly so the thought of being able to celebrate such an occasion alone together with incredible vistas of London by night around us sounded heavenly.

Upon arrival the service was flawless and we were well attended to, however as we were presented with our starters our elevated thoughts of the place started to falter. My peppers stuffed with avocado was a dish I could have recreated in five minutes at home with more much flare and taste, however my partners scallops were good and therefore felt optimistic about our mains.

To no surprise the Dover Sole was overly greasy and tasteless despite painstaking efforts from the menu writer to build this dish up to be somewhat delectable. The lamb my partner ordered was unspecial and very very rare, it was such a disappointment as it was a very special day the only high note we both agreed on was the spectacular views the tower allows you to experience. The champagne and dessert were the best things on the menu by far. And thus we cancelled our coffees after waiting half an hour for them only to find they were still charged to our bill we ended this day by pointing what must have seemed like a very a trivial matter out to the head waiter but it was out of principle alone that such a place with all it's glory could have such oversights.
