Nilesh and Nita of Ronak Catering provided catering at my wedding at Micklefield Hall on Sat 21st Aug that consisted of a full vegetarian gujarati buffet at lunch time and a vegetarian punjabi dinner with silver service at table in the evening. As with all Indian weddings, it was a grand and lavish affair and their cuisine went down extremely well with Indian guests and Russian guests alike (my bride's family live in Moscow). In addition to their catering we utuilised their event management services where they staffed and waited on our guests at the bar, arranged tables and decorated the marquee for the evening and added special touches, such as, a huge array of exotic fruit for dessert. They, and their team of staff, were professional and courteous and made for a very special and unique wedding. Nothing was too much trouble and their food was freshly prepared on the premises. I would not hesitate to use their services again and, as i got to know them through the process, they do things with a smile on their face.

This restaurant was my father's favourtie place, god bless him and I cannot find the words to express how wonderful the dishes taste starting from samosas to thalis to pani puri, you name it, they have it!. The family have run this business for many years and have grown from strength to strength and may so for many years.......Recommend it immensely!!

We went to Ronak with my brother in law as he lives near there and its a treat for us to go to a vegetarian restaurant. The comments on the tattyness of Ronak are absolutely correct - it looks like its had better days. We went on a Friday night and they had specially opened for us because I rang to book - so I'd recommend you do the same. However thats about it for the bad - if you can ignore the decor then you will have a great food experience. They provide real Indian food - Pani Puri, Dosa and a great Thali as main to name a few. The lack of mains may throw you but just order a bunch of starters and the Thali and you will be ok... It tasted great - best food we have had outside of India so we cannot recommend it enough. Hopefully they will get more business in the restaurant as I got the feeling they mainly do outside catering for Indian weddings etc. But then what better sign can there be that the food will be good if they cook for fellow Indians as opposed to the normal boozed up Brits vindaloo fare?

I disagree with the below comment. My sister got married in Jan 07 and the order was given to them last minute sort of thing. We trialed all the food and decided what we wanted. We gave a deposit and they were happy to collect the remaining after the wedding and only if we were satisfied with the food. 100% we were and paid off a few days after the wedding. Im getting married next year and will be looking at Ronak, the food is amazing, whatever you want from traditional to continental. I recommend it to all vegetarians looking for a fantastic catering service and food.

I have only experienced the Ronak brand through their outside catering events and am sorry to say that they let us down with their poor customer service. After a month of discussing prices and menu options they called us and demanded full CASH payment or they would cancel the function. We thought this was a little strong due to the fact we had previously made arrangements to pay cash deposit on the day or before and the balance by cheque once we were satisfied. Eithor way they did not budge and after they had brought family members to tears, we decided to let them go and opt for another caterer if we would find one at such short notice. Myself and my family are very upset by these brutal extortion methods and will not be calling on the Ronak Restaurant again. I strongly advise other people to not use them eithor.

Ronak iz a great place 2 eat n the catering the waitresses are superb they listen to your orders and they no exactly what there doing.

Ronak's is the best I have been to. Not just for the restaurant, it also provides the best catering for weddings. They catered for my wedding and the guests remembered the food more than the wedding, great place, love it

I have just returned home happy and content after another beautiful meal at Ronak restaurant. The food is always delicious and deeply satisfiying; you simply will not find a better plate anywhere in London, any cuisine. period. I had my first meal here 18 years ago and have been a regular ever since. Make sure you order at least one portion of Ronak special bajiyah, and try their unbelievable home-made shrikand for desert. Treat yourselves!!!

Newly moved to east london is a frightening in itself and not helped by dodgy kebab and curry houses. A friend recommended Ronak and the east london eating experiance has not been a problem since. The service is friendly and all the dishes are exellent. After eating their for a year now im enjoying a life as a vegetarian and its great.

Disregard any negative reports about the Ronak because the food is superb and the value for money is unbeatable. It's one of the best Indian eating houses in London and the staff are really nice.

I really like indian vegetarian food and visited Ronak last sunday because our usual veggie place is closed on sundays. We wanted to go somewhere we could get masala dosai. I looked for reviews online and came across this site which made me decide to try Ronak out for once.

Even though the food was lovely, and the man who served us very friendly and nice, i don't think i will be going back. The place looked a bit old and tatty. There were empty tv boxes etc all over the place. it was dark and there were flies buzzing around, which was a bit worrying. We had a seat neat the window but the view of the street was rather grim. we had to look at two overflowing rubbish bins and a pile of rubbish outside the restaurant. me and my friend were the only customers. and even though our food arrived very promptly, we were quickly forgotten after that. During our stay there was a coming and going of family friends and people seemed to have business meetings and doing their accounts in the restaurant. It was practically impossibble to catch attention of staff. the menu was a bit vague as it didnt list any main courses. Only starters and thalis - very strange.

This restaurant really is a treat of vegetarian food. People say that you cant compare the taste of food here with India, let me tell you one thing just try it once and you will be going back forever.

I have been going to ronak for decades and the food is consistently delicious and good value. a fresh, spicy and unpretentious venue.
