Went along with three friends to try out the new set-up. Wow, what a difference. Don't get me wrong I was a big fan of Ken and Ann but this is something different. Food is just fantastic. Like..... I have never eaten food like this before and service was very friendly. Very professional but friendy atmosphere and I found it cheaper than Ken's prices. I had three courses with two additional courses complimentary, my friends had two courses (also had complimentary courses) and we had pre-dinner drinks, one bottle of extremely nice Rioja at £17 and coffee and were charged and were charged £152.00 including VAT with service optional. That's pretty reasonable for this high standard.I am a traditionist but hey, this place is very very good and well worth under £40 per head including drinks. Staff friendy and place inviting with lovely decoration and finally toilets that work!!!Suggest David should revisit, to say food OK.... well we all thought it was fantastic.

Regrettabley Ken and Anne have given up the restaurant so the Old Lodge is no more. The new set up is very different. Food OK but very expensive and service diffident. Gone is the old lodge welcome and style - sadly nothing stays the same.

Oh my gosh..phoned The Old Lodge to book a table and they've gone. I'm sure that Alexander's is going to be lovely, but please if anyone out there known where The Old Lodge has moved to please post a message.

Logged onto website and bitterly disappointed. Little information re menu, prices, etc., And perhaps the biggest shame - no photographs of this beautiful building, both exterior and interior. First came across Old Lodge in the 70's and have had many lovely dining experiences.

We ate here a few months ago and were really impressed. Food was first class as was the service. Warm welcome, not rushed and happy to oblige. Hope to visit again next week!

Four of us celebrated my son's 30th birthday.As it was midweek the place was quiet. Staff very friendly, the quality of food good with ample portions. Worth a visit for a celebration.

After coming to the Old Lodge for the last 13 years or so for Valentines and birthdays what can one say. The standard of service and friendliness has never changed and the food and atmosphere is second to none. There is no where better to celebrate or just go out for a meal than The Old Lodge. Thanks Ken, Diane, Adam, Anne and the team.

Have eaten here on a couple of occasions and was so pleased had our wedding reception there. Everything was fantastic and even included a choice of dinners on the day!

Everything about this restaurant is first class. The atmosphere is warm and the hosts are friendly and welcoming. Totally professional staff who know when to leave diners alone and when to be attentive. The food is excellent and the sweets to die for. One of the few restaurants who always serve traditional roast beef, cooked to perfection, on a Sunday.

I would not have said this was a French restaurant. Interior very nice oak panelled dining area but the bar needs updating. Food is english with continental influence. Good wine list though. Owners been there years, very friendly.
